Mike Coronella

Customer service: Mike spent a decade working at the finest resort properties as a wine expert--so he's experienced in the highest levels of customer care. Everyone's a VIP at Deep Desert Expeditions!  We are the preferred provider for some of the most luxurious properties in the region.

Experienced: Mike started guiding over twenty years ago, leading large-format photography tours, then working as a river guide, four-wheel/jeep guide, backpacking guide, and culminating with the opening of Deep Desert Expeditions in 2010. He has spent several hundred nights and days exploring the deserts with a backpack, and thousands of days out and about with a daypack. Mike is creator of the Hayduke Trail, an 850+ mile desert backpacking route that connects six southwestern National Parks and co-author of the Guide to the Hayduke Trail, published by the University of Utah Press.

Knowledgeable: academic study, an insatiable appetite for reading, and decades of wandering the desert have made Mike the desert guru. Let him share his knowledge and passion with you!
